Humility of Existence One-Dimensional Man

I have always regarded with skepticism certainly maxims of people smarter than me and they say that life must be lived with humility. I guess it's because living with humility is better than living without it.

Within historical behavior rules that every society builds with the passage of time, it appears that humility as the value is rooted disproportionate. And indeed, I am not very clear why. Humility is synonymous with wise, virtuous, warm, intelligent, wise, humane and a long list of adjectives. Do not be humble, by contrast, is synonymous with arrogant, rude, unfriendly and a long etcetera. But I think that humility hides, so to speak, very real issues that may seem unpleasant they are still true.
